Book Review: The LDS Preparedness Manual
Here is my review of the LDS Preparedness Manual. First off I’d like to say that this site is completely neutral when it comes to religion politics and any other “taboo” subject. I am here because I just want to get out as much good information that could help people out as I can. I am in no way promoting or advertising for the LDS.
Along time ago I decided that good information is out there and sometimes in the strangest of places, so I never discount anything based on “the cover of the book”. Which means if I come across some great stuff that I know might help or inspire someone I share it, I don’t care who wrote it or where it came from. If I find the information true and helpful to me then I want to share it with you!
This Preparedness Manual is really a very rich and informative guide in which they cover a ton of stuff. The best part is its completely FREE. While this manual is not endorsed by the actual church it is written by its members and show cases a lot of what they have learned and what they know about preparedness. A lot of people consider the Mormons the creators of emergency preparedness. Most say that they wrote the book! Check out my other post on Homesteading and how to make soap!
The LDS Preparedness Manual
The LDS Preparedness manual is almost a novel at 222 pages of intriguing and enlightening information. In no way is this a wilderness survival guide or a tactical military manual. This is more of a self-reliance, bugging in type of preparedness manual. This manual mostly concentrates on food storage, food preparation, emergency cooking, money, clothing, water purification, emergency shelter, emergency toilets, quarantining for epidemics, fuel storage and a ton more topics. You could almost say this is a guide to Homesteading. One of the really great things about this manual (besides it being free) is the sheer amount of checklists in the book. I mean there must be 15 or more checklists.
They have food storage down to an art. They even provide you with a Monthly Food Storage Purchasing Calendar. This manual is such a great collection of all information on the internet and also tips passed down through the ages.
I especially found the chapter on Surviving in the City an amazing resource.
The LDS Preparedness Manual
“But first, it’s important to realize that you cannot prepare for everything — only the army tries to do that, and we’ve yet to meet anyone with their resources.”
There really is no better way to put it. I like that even the beginning prepper and survivalist can jump right into this LDS preparedness manual and not get overwhelmed with nonsense jargon. If you are looking for a great resource for homesteading, bugging in or just plain survival I would whole heartedly recommend this preparedness manual. It is a bit daunting to read a 222 page preparedness manual but I just split it up and read a little every day. After finishing it I had a completely new and more positive outlook on preparedness and I attribute that to this amazing literary work of art. Even id you get it and only like a few parts remember the LDS Preparedness Manual is FREE!

However, I'm pretty sure that there is another top of the line brand that lets you build your own computer. So if you can have get some more options of brands for which I can choose that will be great..

I opened up a blogspot website and when I closed it 15 or so new windows opened back up to the same site. Why did that happen? Was it a virus?. Will it hurt my computer? How do I find it and get rid of it? I am running 2 virus scans right now but if those do not find it, how do I find it?.
